Design Issues for Offshore Wind Turbines in Seasonal Ice Conditions

This presentation focuses on design issues for offshore wind turbines in seasonal ice conditions.
It provides an overview, a first-year Sea ice, compression ridges, shear ridges, the approaches for dealing with ice, the design for ice, the local design, dynamics and mitigation strategies, parameters which have influence on loads, scour and burial depth, the ongoing research and remarks.
