We are happy to announce a webinar to present the main outcomes of the project EVOLVE – “Economic Value of Ocean Energy", which will be held on the 26th of January at 15:00 CET.

One of the main goals of the project is to study potential benefits of integrating wave and tidal stream energies in future energy systems.

The British, Irish and Portuguese power systems are modelled considering future energy scenarios, with and without ocean energy. EVOLVE’s objective is to assess impacts of future energy mixes on electricity prices, carbon emissions, renewable dispatch and system balancing.

Partners of the project include Aquatera, The University of Edinburgh, Research Institutes from Sweden, CorPower Ocean, Orbital Marine Power and WavEC – Offshore Renewables.

EVOLVE is funded by the OCEANERA-NET program and by the national agencies Scottish Enterprise, Statens Energimyndighet and Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia.

The webinar will be recorded, and it will be possible to access the recording after the live event on EVOLVE's website.
The OES is organised under the auspices of the International Energy Agency (IEA) but is functionally and legally autonomous. Views, findings and publications of the OES do not necessarily represent the views or policies of the IEA Secretariat or its individual member countries.
